Isaac had surgery today. It was a pretty routine procedure, just something he needed. But he was under anesthesia and it made for a long day. We were at the hospital for 7 hours! We checked in at 7 am and didn't leave until almost 2 pm. Luckily I had a great friend who held the baby the entire time so I could give all my attention to Isaac. It was also nice to have a friend's husband, who is a CRNA student, in the surgery room with him, especially since I couldn't be with him.
The funniest part of the whole experience was how Isaac reacted to being drugged. In the pre-op room they gave him a sort of sedative to help him cooperate with getting the anesthesia. I was holding him before they were took him into surgery but after he was given the sedative. He immediately started acting loopy, he head was rolling around, he had a goofy smile on his face, and he kept poking me in the neck. He pinched my neck and grabbed the skin above my collarbone. Then he started biting me! He would lean his head back and then bring his head forward and bite (not very hard) over and over. He even made that "gobble" sound. I kept pushing his mouth away or putting my finger in his mouth for him to bite instead but he was so insistent and I kept laughing because it tickled.

Is Isaac okay? Is there anything we can do for you? Do you need dinner? Or a babysitter?
Sounds like he was pretty loopy. Funny kid. I love playing with your boys in nursery. They are so fun. :)
I'm glad to be back on the blog. I can't believe how much Anna has changed since I saw her last month. She looks so cute in her pig tails. Hope all is well with the surgery.
