"For Unto Us a Child Was Given"

Anna Rose Atkinson was born Friday, October 30th at 9:28 AM and weighed in at 6 lbs 12 oz and 20.5 inches long. Tammy's C-section went well and both baby and mama are healthy and doing well. I'm sorry it took so long to get pictures up but yesterday I forgot to bring home the cable that connects the camera to the computer. Tammy was up and walking around today so she should be coming home tomorrow and we'll dress Anna up and take some more pictures and hopefully she won't look quite as "puffy" as she does now. I'm normally anti-blog/facebook but got talked into it this time. The strange
part for me was attending the C-section in the morning and then after making sure everyone was situated I ran back to school and took my Microbiology final at 1 PM. I don't think I've ever finished a final so quickly in my life. I was done with 102 questions in 20 minutes and the first one out the door and on my way back to the hospital. Probably not my best performance but it will be enough to pass. I've been somewhat concerned about raising a girl. Boys I understand and know what they need but the challenges of raising a young woman these days seems rather daunting. Today, she made little cooing noises while taking a little nap on my chest in the hospital and my concerns just seemed to melt away. I'm sure the challenges of a little girl will be different but I'm looking forward to the experience. Don't get excited because I got talked into posting this time because my policy of no comments/pictures is going back into effect immediately.
